Certified Nurse Midwife Needed in Western Massachusetts

Full Time and Permanent 

 

We are seeking Certified Midwife Nurse Practitioner candidates for an OB/GYN Clinic located in Western Massachusetts.

Position Type: Full-time, benefits eligible
Hours/shift/ Any calls: M-F office, weekday and weekend call, depends on one or two midwifes.
Sign on bonus/applicable relocation: yes 
Patient to nurse ratio? We deliver about 100 or so babies a year and have 2 OBs and 2 nurse midwives. Looking to hire a 3rd OB.
We also see all women’s health patients, not just pregnant women.
The best candidate is someone that has experience in a small community hospital but also has office experience in women’s health.
 
Job Description:
We are seeking Midwife Nurse Practitioner  to join a growing OB/GYN office client located in the heart of the Berkshires. The Certified Nurse Midwife provides specialized nursing services in areas that may include women’s health, family planning, labor and delivery, as well as postpartum care. The CNM’s duties will be performed under the general supervision of the CMO. The CNM will work in close collaboration with the hospital’s labor and delivery department.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: other duties may be assigned
 
Education and/or Experience: 
A master’s degree in nursing, and completion of a state acceptable nurse practitioner’s program are required. A minimum of one year’s experience is preferred. National certification in specialty is preferred.
 
Necessary special requirements: Licensed by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts as a Registered Nurse; certified by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts as a Nurse Practitioner; prescriptive privileges; DEA
