Description
Cancer Network along the east coast that is seeking a Director of Oncology Practice and Education to provide consultative support and education for 10+ cancer program across 5 states.

The role you will play
- Provide consultative support focused on quality oncology patient care including the development of standards and metrics to measure and monitor performance, education for new services, and remediation of practice opportunities. 
- Assists with coordination of evidence-based clinical practice and education initiatives.
- Works with Physicians and other leaders to oversee planning and implementation for all CME programs and evaluation of nursing practice policies.
- Responsible for effective, efficient clinical operations, and delivery of quality care at medical and radiation oncology programs.
- Assess educational needs, design educational activities and evaluate educational outcomes
- Provides oversight for development and maintenance of standardized patient treatment plans including chemotherapy orders, plans of care, and patient teaching standards
- Establishes systems to improve and enhance patient care.
Responsible for the enhancement of practice through education and research at all programs.
Participates and leads efforts to develop performance improvement/quality improvement initiatives across sites

Skills
Qualifications:
- Experience as a CNS, registered nurse, NP or Clinical leader in oncology is required.
- Clinical Nurse Specialist strongly preferred.
- Experience in program management across oncology service lines, including oncology nursing educational processes.
- A minimum of three years of progressive supervisory experience is strongly preferred.
- Experience and understanding of CME requirements, program planning and coordination is preferred
- Must obtain NC RN license.
- Oncology nursing certification preferred.
