Job Responsibilities for the Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)
- Deliver high-quality care to residents in accordance with individualized care plans.
- Assist the RN Charge Nurse and nursing team with daily nursing tasks, ensuring resident comfort and safety.
- Monitor residents’ conditions and report any changes to the RN or physician.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
- Maintain accurate records using EMR systems, ensuring compliance with policies and procedures.
- Build positive relationships with residents and their families, offering compassionate and patient-centered care.
- Support the nursing team in maintaining a clean, organized, and efficient environment.
Minimum Job Requirements for the LPN
Education and Experience:
- Valid LPN license required.
- 3-5 years of relevant nursing experience preferred.
- CPR/BLS certification required.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel) and EMR systems.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build rapport with residents and families.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Commitment to community involvement and delivering compassionate care.
Benefits and Compensation
- Competitive Salary: $55,000 - $60,000 annually, with additional opportunities for shift pickups at up to $43/hour.
- Flexible Scheduling: Self-scheduling with 12-hour shifts (5:00 PM - 5:30 AM), three shifts per week, with the option to pick up more if desired.
