Are you looking to step into a nurse leadership role?


The duties of the Nurse Manager/Clinical Educator are to facilitate the educational process through assessment, development, planning, implementation and evaluation of the nursing staff of the practice. This role also includes supporting the chief nursing officer in administrative duties of the nursing department.

The nurse manager will also at times act as the registered nurse who serves as the liaison between the physician and the patient and gives safe and competent clinical care to the patients.

The Employee must have a current license with the NC Board of Nursing.

Shift: Monday thru Friday 8AM-5PM

Essential Job Functions

Coordinates orientation of new staff to the organization
Maintain records of all the important and necessary work related to nursing and the patients
Identifies where the nursing staff needs to improve, their educational needs and so on and conduct training programs in order to help the nurses
Plans, prepares and maintains materials for use in educational programs for accuracy and relevance to the target audience
Serves as a link between the nursing staff and other departments
Teaches content as needed and/or assigned within clinical expertise to facilitate orientation, staff development and/or safe practice
Assisting the chief nursing officer in administrative duties. Acts as the chief nursing officer in his/her absence.
Helping in creating nursing policies, action plans, setting goals and making schedules for the nursing staff
Making sure that all the rules, regulations and protocol are followed and maintained in the practice
Regularly evaluating the performance of the nursing staff, initiating disciplinary actions when needed.
Maintains flexibility when managing multiple roles and responsibilities.

Skills
Current License Approval by the NC Board of Nursing (NCBON) and Maintenance of Continuing Education hours as required by the NCBON Renewal Process
Education: BSN required
Experience: 3 years nursing experience required
Ability to Perform Treatment Procedures and Assist Physician
Accuracy of Records
Neurology Experience Preferred
Must work within the RN Scope of Practice
Knowledge and Ability to perform duties in specialty unit if hired for that unit
Other duties as assigned.
