A Bachelor's in Nursing is required and at least one year of prior leadership experience. A background in Medical-Surgical nursing is required as well. Job Responsibilities of Hospice Director of Nursing

• Responsible for overseeing the coordination and supervision of the hospice facility.
  
• Provides direct patient care as needed.
  
• Leads educational programs in the community and with medical groups.
  
• Attends staff meetings and completes mandatory in-services and requirements and competency evaluations on time.

Education Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing.
  
  

Minimum Experience Requirements

• At least 1 year of Medical-Surgical Nursing experience.
  
• At least 1 year of Hospice or Home Care experience.
• At least 1 year of leadership experience.
