Position Summary: The Administrative Assistant provides administrative and clerical support to the Department Director and Manager. He/she interacts with physicians, directors, managers, ancillary and department staff. The Administrative Assistant facilitates the completion of department assignments.
Essential Functions:
- Types accurately with attention to details
- Prepares correspondence, reports, and materials for presentations
- Sets up and coordinates meetings
- Creates, transcribes and distributes meeting agendas and minutes
- Answers telephones and handles calls in an appropriate manner
- Meets and greets patients and visitors
- Performs general clerical duties including but not limited to: copying, faxing, mailing and filing
- Maintains hard copy and electronic filing system
- Researches, prices and purchases
- Demonstrates ability to maintain a safe environment
- Promotes internal and external customer satisfaction.
- Builds and promotes a culture of service excellence and continuous improvement.
- Attendance: works as scheduled and is compliant with Attendance and Tardiness Policy.
