For nearly 35 years, Centennial Medical Plaza, a campus of The Medical Center of Aurora, has provided high quality emergency care. We are growing to meet the needs of our community and will open a full service, 20 bed hospital in the spring of 2021.

As an Operating Room Clinical Nurse Coordinator you will support the mission of The Medical Center of Aurora by optimizing the quality of life of all those served by expanding beyond the traditional focus on medical needs to the needs of the whole person. 
 
What you will do in this role:

  • You will demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care to his or her patients.
  • You will provide direction and supervision to other staff caring for patients in his or her patient care department/unit.
  • You will Deliver care to patients is based on criteria that are specific to the physical, psychosocial, cultural, safety and learning needs of that individual, depending on age and developmental level and on competence of staff assigned to that department.
  • You will review patient care daily, visits patients regularly, making suggestions to improve care and becomes involved in the care of selected patients.
  • You will organize, coordinate, and facilitate patient care on her/his department/unit during all operating hours.
  • You will perform delegated management duties, assigned by the Patient Care Director and Nurse Manager, which are consistent with her/his scope of nursing practice and competence.


What qualifications you will need:

  • Current licensure in the State of Colorado as a Registered Nurse, or current active multistate Registered Nurse license.
  • Current BLS certification through the American Heart Association or American Red Cross
  • ACLS and PALS required
  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing, BSN Preferred
  • Two years’ experience as an Operating Room RN required.
  • One year experience in Charge/Supervisory or Management role
