HCA Houston Healthcare Kingwood is a 439-bed acute care facility that has provided quality care to the Lake Houston area for over 25 years. It is home to the area’s only comprehensive cardiac, neuroscience and women services programs. Our Women & Children’s Center provides Level II and III neonatal intensive care units, high-risk obstetrics, a breast diagnostic center, a designated pediatric unit, and the area’s only pediatric emergency department.
HCA Houston Healthcare Kingwood is affiliated with HCA Houston Healthcare, part of the HCA Healthcare Gulf Coast Division. The division is a comprehensive network of hospitals, outpatient surgery centers, emergency centers and diagnostic imaging facilities in greater Houston, Corpus Christi and South Texas. Facilities include: 17 hospitals, nine ambulatory care centers, 13 off-campus emergency centers, and a regional transfer center. What will you do in this role:
The Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) is responsible for carrying out routine patient care assignments, working in controlled and/or uncontrolled patient care situations, performing established nursing care procedures, and engaging in therapeutic, rehabilitative, and preventive activities under the direction of a Registered Nurse. •Employee will be responsible for knowledge and skill necessary to provide care based on physical, psychological, educational, safety and related criteria for the applicable age specific populations.
•The LVN applies knowledge of the principles of growth and development over the life span to identify patient and family requirements relative to age specific needs.
•The LVN is responsible for administering medications and treatments as prescribed by the physician and under the supervision of the Registered Nurse.
Qualifications Qualifications:
Education •Graduate from an accredited school of Nursing.
What qualifications you will need:
•One (1) or more years recent clinical experience as a LVN preferred.
•Current Texas license as LVN
•American Red Cross or American Heart Association Basic Life Support Course (BLS or BCLS) and Certification
