As a Progressive Care Unit Registered Nurse, you will be responsible for performing patient assessments, developing a plan of care, implementing and evaluating care. You will be responsible for directing, monitoring and evaluating the care delegated to non-licensed personnel on the team.


  • You will support, maintain and provide an environment which is supportive of quality patient care through effective use of resources and personnel.

  • You will practice, develop and endorse customer service skills in relationships with internal and external customers.

  • You will serve as the patient and family advocate with respect to the patient’s right to privacy by protecting confidential information.

  • You will plan and implement patient care and teaching based on a total assessment and the age of the patient.

  • You will evaluate and document patient response; monitor and recognize changes in physiological and psychosocial status; takes appropriate action based on assessment of the patient.
