The Life of an HCA Nurse


Summary:

Under the direction of the VP, Quality, the Performance Improvement Coordinator will assist in the coordination of all aspects of the performance improvement program; support directors and managers in complying with PI activities as it relates to regulatory compliance and lead teams in performance improvement initiatives


Responsibilities:
  • Will assist with the coordination and maintenance of the hospital’s performance improvement initiatives;
  • Holds positions on focus groups (fall committee, Stroke, Sepsis) to assist in developing formal PI plans;
  • Identifies trends and makes recommendations based on analysis of results and regulatory requirements.
  • Develop, implement and monitor performance improvement plans based on data, input from leaders and staff, and personal observation
  • Oversee and lead a formal Quality Improvement program developing performance improvement targets across the organization.
  • Provide appropriate feedback based on data analysis and observation.
  • Assumes responsibility for meeting state and national regulatory requirements, as well as quality outcomes
  • Assist in investigation of complaints and implement corrective action plans
  • Other duties as assigned
  • Demonstrates working knowledge of AIDET, utilizing with each patient interaction
  • Regular, reliable attendance is required to ensure the highest level of patient care
  • Follows hospital safety and quality standards and expectations, as it pertains to job performance and patient care
  • Behavior demonstrates understanding and adherence to Belton Regional Medical Center’s ICARE values.

Qualifications

Qualifications:
  • Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing
  • Current state of Missouri RN licensure required.
  • BLS and ACLS certification required at hire and maintained.
