The
Life of an HCA Nurse
Summary: Under the direction of the VP, Quality, the
Performance Improvement Coordinator will assist in the coordination of all
aspects of the performance improvement program; support directors and managers
in complying with PI activities as it relates to regulatory compliance and lead
teams in performance improvement initiatives
Responsibilities:
- Will assist with the
coordination and maintenance of the hospital’s performance improvement
initiatives;
- Holds positions on focus
groups (fall committee, Stroke, Sepsis) to assist in developing formal PI
plans;
- Identifies trends and
makes recommendations based on analysis of results and regulatory requirements.
- Develop, implement and
monitor performance improvement plans based on data, input from leaders and
staff, and personal observation
- Oversee and lead a
formal Quality Improvement program developing performance improvement targets
across the organization.
- Provide appropriate
feedback based on data analysis and observation.
- Assumes responsibility
for meeting state and national regulatory requirements, as well as quality
outcomes
- Assist in investigation
of complaints and implement corrective action plans
- Other duties as assigned
- Demonstrates working
knowledge of AIDET, utilizing with each patient interaction
- Regular, reliable
attendance is required to ensure the highest level of patient care
- Follows hospital safety
and quality standards and expectations, as it pertains to job performance and
patient care
- Behavior demonstrates
understanding and adherence to Belton Regional Medical Center’s ICARE values.
Qualifications Qualifications:
- Graduation from an
accredited School of Nursing
- Current state of
Missouri RN licensure required.
- BLS and ACLS
certification required at hire and maintained.
