We are seeking a Nurse Extern for our facility to ensure that we continue to provide all patients with high quality, efficient care. As
a Nurse Extern:
- You
will deliver high quality, patient-centered care by performing a variety of
delegated basic patient care services related to common nursing functions and
activities of daily living.
- You
will assist the nursing staff in providing patient care in accordance with the Nurse
Extern’s skills/training and the needs of the Department, and consistently
assists the patient care team with maintaining a clean, well-organized, and safe
patient care environment, under the supervision of the registered nurse (RN).
- You
will have to be currently enrolled and in good standing in an accredited school
of nursing and can perform higher-level procedures once competency is achieved.
- You
will participate in the implementation of nursing care plans by performing
direct and indirect patient care under the supervision of the licensed nurse.
Cartersville Medical Center is a 119 bed acute care hospital, Level III
Trauma, Chest Pain Center, Certified Primary Stroke Center and Gold Seal
Inpatient Diabetes program accredited by the Joint Commission. The Breast Imaging Center of Excellence at
The Women’s Center provides mammography services that are gold seal accredited
by the American College of Radiology.
The Hope Center, a regional, Commission on Cancer approved cancer
treatment facility, is conveniently located on the hospital campus and provides
over 4,000 treatments with over 300 new patients per year from a ten county
