As the Manager of Clinical Operations you will be responsible for coordinating room assignments for all admissions to the facility, inter-facility and intra-facility transfers as well as facilitating discharges.  You will be responsible for the direction, supervision, coordination, and evaluation of nursing performance and activities related to the care and treatment of patients within the hospital on a specific shift.

  • You will coordinate the assignments of patients to specific units within the hospital.
  • You will act as the official representative of the management staff of the hospital in their absence. 
  • You will be the Manager of Direct Admit/Float Pool/House Supervisors and maintain 24-hour accountability for the supervision, coordination and evaluation of activities of the House Supervisors, Float Pool staff, and Direct Admit Unit.
  • You will ensure patient needs are met in accordance with instructions of physicians and the Hospital policy and procedures. 
  • You will coordinate the organizational improvement activities of the nursing unit.
  • You will oversee the development, review and revision of policies, procedures and practices guidelines. 
  • You will assist the Director in overseeing the financial operation of the department.
  • You will maintain knowledge of current practice standards with regards to care of the medical-surgical / telemetry patient.

Qualifications

Experience:
  • 2 years previous experience as a registered Nurse in an acute care facility:  Required
  • 2 years Management Experience: Preferred
Education:
  • Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing, RN:  Required

License / Certifications:

  • Texas RN licensure or Compact Licensure:  Required
