Clinical Nurse Coordinator (CNC) - Rehab Unit HCA Houston Healthcare Clear Lake is a full-service hospital offering a 531 bed inpatient and outpatient medical, surgical and specialty services. The campus includes Level II trauma capabilities, a Neuroscience Institute, The Heart & Vascular Hospital, a bariatrics program, the Breast Diagnostic Center, a wound care center, a level III Neonatal ICU, and the area’s only pediatric emergency department and pediatric ICU.
HCA Houston Healthcare Clear Lake is affiliated with HCA Houston Healthcare, part of the HCA Healthcare Gulf Coast Division. The division is a comprehensive network of hospitals, outpatient surgery centers, emergency centers and diagnostic imaging facilities in greater Houston, Corpus Christi and South Texas. Facilities include: 17 hospitals, nine ambulatory care centers, 13 off-campus emergency centers, and a regional transfer center.
What you will do in this role: • Assumes responsibility for direction and coordination of all functions during the designated shift. • Functions as a resource person for staff member and assists in necessary education of individual members of the nursing staff. • Assumes responsibility for the overall quality of nursing care provided when on duty • Makes decisions regarding activities with these areas based on Administrative Operational Standards, Nursing Administrative Standards, Human Resource Standards, and Standards of Care for the unit, in collaboration with other members of the management team.
Qualifications Education: • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing. BSN preferred. What qualifications you will need: • 2 years of clinical practice in the clinical specialty of his/her unit and leadership/ management experience is preferred. For this position, Rehab experience is required. • American Red Cross or American Heart Association Basic Life Support course (BLS or BCLS) and certification is required.
• American Red Cross or American Heart Association Advanced Life Support course (ALS or ACLS) and certification is required.
