You contribute to our success. Every role has an impact on our patients’ lives and you have the opportunity to make a difference. We are looking for a dedicated Pediatric Intensive Care Unit RN (PICU) like you to be a part of our team.
 

As a Pediatric Intensive Care Unit RN (PICU), you are responsible for the patient care of children and adolescents with a wide-range of diagnosis, from common childhood diseases to life-threatening illnesses. You must use your nursing education and skills to monitor these patients and assist their families with transparent communication and emotional support.


What you will do in this role:

  • You will monitor and adjust specialized equipment used on patients, such as ventilators
  • You will provide age and culturally appropriate care to patients
  • You must collaborate effectively with the patient, the patient’s family/legal guardians and members of the healthcare team to achieve optimal patient outcomes
  • You will instruct patients and families regarding medications and treatment instructions
  • You will maintain and review patient records including posting tests and examination results
  • You will administer medications in accordance with physician orders
  • You will communicate with and educate parents on day-to-day operations as well as home-care procedures


Qualifications

What qualifications you may need:

  • Must be a graduate from an accredited school of Nursing: Associate's Degree in Nursing or higher is required
  • Must be licensed as a Registered Nurse in the state which you practice and/or hold an active Compact/Multi-State RN license
  • A current American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross Basic Life Support (BLS) Health Care Provider is required
  • Recent Pediatric or ICU experience preferred
