Here is some of what you can expect from being a Pre-Op PACU Registered Nurse with us:

  • You will oversee and direct the care of the pre-surgical/post-procedural patient. 
  • You will serve as the primary nurse leading the collaboration of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care.
  • You will oversee and direct the care of assistive personnel, maintaining final accountability for the care given to assigned patients. 
  • You will deliver care, which is based on criteria that is age appropriate and is based on the physical, psychosocial, cultural, safety, and learning needs of the individual patients. 
  • You may be asked to rotate/float to areas other than your assigned service area, and you will perform only those duties for which you have demonstrated competency. 
 
What qualifications you will need:
  • Current licensure in the State of Colorado as a Registered Nurse, or current active multi-state Registered Nurse license. 
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
  • ACLS certification.
  • Graduate from an accredited school of nursing. BSN preferred.
  • One (1) year minimum experience in PACU or Critical Care as a RN required.
