Job Summary
The Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU)
at North Florida Regional Medical Center is comprised of an 18-bed main PACU
unit, a 7-bed Women’s Center PACU unit, and an 8-bed outpatient recovery unit.
We have an incredible team of nurses
and techs who care for our patients during the immediate post-anesthesia
period. We provide post-anesthesia care for patients following a wide variety
of procedures, and are often faced with intensive hemodynamic monitoring and
pain issues.
Our goal is to provide exceptional
post-anesthesia care to both inpatients and outpatients. Our team also support
each other; we are one big, hardworking PACU family! We are always looking for
nurses who are willing to make a commitment to being a part of our dynamic
team.
Qualifications
Current license as a RN
Current certification as a BLS Healthcare Provider
Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing
1+ Years of experience as a RN in a Critical Care setting
required
Customer service abilities including
effective listening skills. Critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the
ability to work with minimal supervision in a fast paced
environment. Ability to perform work that requires frequent standing,
bending, reaching, squatting, kneeling, moving, lifting of patients and/or equipment
up to 50 pounds.
