This position is eligible for a $15,000 Sign On Bonus for RN's with greater than 1 year experience.
We are seeking an Imaging/Radiology Nurse Navigator in Wausau, WI at Aspirus Wausau Hospital who functions as an active health advisor and advocate throughout the process of screening, diagnosis, and treatment of lung conditions. Primary responsibilities include providing patient education & answering questions about procedures and studies performed as part of the diagnosis process within the Imaging Department; informing patients of study results; and arranging for appropriate follow-up if emotional and social needs require special intervention.
All Imaging Nurse Navigators also function as an Imaging Ambulatory Nurse. In this role the RN is responsible for preparting patients for imaging studies such as CT and MRI.
PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS
- Knowledge of general nursing care particularly focused on cancer and pulmonology acquired through completion of a Bachelor's Degree in nursing.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in women's health.
- Possesses an active Wisconsin RN nursing license.
- Current BLS certification or obtained within 90 days of hire.
- Current ACLS certification or obtained within 90 days of hire.
- Functions as a Radiology Ambulatory Nurse
- Performs patient assessments, screening for procedures and provides patient education pre and post procedure
- Administers medications, manages IV access, and performs Point of Care Lab testing.
- Manages patient care needs and responds to medical emergencies within Wausau Hospital Radiology Department and at the Imaging Center
- Documents in EMR.
Hours: Full time Benefit package available, 72 hours every two weeks, Monday - Friday day shift
