We are seeking a REGISTERED NURSE in Wisconsin Rapids, Wisconsin to work in our Walk-in Clinic. The RN assists in the delivery of health care as dictated by best practice standards in the walk-in setting. Utilizes RN nursing skills while assessing and triaging patients, providing care while patients are in the department, and informing patients of test results. The position requires the ability to make decisions consistent with clinic policies and the strict observance of confidentiality of patient information. The position also requires the ability to adapt quickly to changing departmental needs and the diverse patient population and influx or patient census while consistently displaying a high degree of customer service skills.
The Registered Nurse is a professional who assumes the responsibility and accountability for the provision of assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of nursing care provided that incorporates evidence-based practice. A key aspect of the work of Nursing is to continually improve the quality of nursing care by collecting and analyzing data.
PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS
§ Knowledge of patient care standards and practices normally acquired through completion of a nursing program.
§ Possesses an active Wisconsin RN nursing license.
§ Current CPR certification or obtained within 90 days of hire.
Hours: Full time; 1.0 FTE or 40 hours per week. The Walk-in Clinic is open 7A - 7P on weekdays and 8A - 1P weekends and holidays. Shifts can vary and be 12, 10 or 8 hours. Weekend rotation is every 3 rd weekend and 2-3 holidays per year. Full time benefits package available.
